How We Check What We Publish
Every product claim on this site is traced back to a document or a workshop before it goes up. This is that process, written down.

We investigate our own supply chain before publishing a claim about it, so traceability statements on this site rest on documents rather than on assurances.

Methodology
Four Checks Before It Is Published
Applied to every sourcing claim on this site.
Match to documents
Check the claim against certification and permits rather than against a supplier statement.
Check the regulation
Test it against the rules of the destination market, including EUDR 2027 for European buyers.
Publish or qualify
If it survives all three it goes up. If it does not, it is either left out or labelled unverified.
This is why some questions on this site are answered with "we do not publish that figure" rather than with a number.
What EUDR 2027 Changes
For buyers importing into the European Union, the burden of proof moves.
Geolocation of origin
Where the material was harvested has to be identifiable, not merely declared.
Due diligence statement
The importer files it. The exporter has to be able to supply what it rests on.
Deforestation-free
The material has to be shown not to come from converted forest land.
We prepare this documentation as part of the order rather than as an extra, because a European buyer cannot clear customs without it.
