Why the Middle Matters
Most rattan leaving Indonesia passes through at least one trading layer. Each layer adds cost, and each one removes a little more of the buyer's ability to see where the material came from or who checked it.
We hold that middle ourselves. It is what lets us answer a chain-of-custody question with a document rather than an assurance, and it is why a specification we agree is one we can actually enforce.
